I would think that most Ontario anglers would know that we are to follow last year’s fishing regulations. This is because the regulations are being re-written and all parties involved want to make sure they get things right. The new guidelines are expected to be out in January 2008. If there is one kind of fishing I take for granted it has to be perch fishing. Usually, if I hook into one on our local lake I will quickly reel it in and share with it my disgust about wasting my time. People have told me they are great eating. I don’t believe them. Anytime I have hooked into a perch they have been near significant weedbeds and in my mind the perch will taste, well…weedy! Apparently, I am wrong. Continue Reading
