EU Group Satisfied With Canada’s Polar Bear Management
There has been some emotional mis-information about the hunting of polar bears in Canada. In a previous post, I shared some thoughts regarding the hype. It would seem, that ‘scientific reasoning’ has emerged to quell the tide. The European Union’s Scientific Review Group appears to be satisfied with Canada’s management of the Canadian polar bears.
In a press release from Canada’s Environment Minister, Jim Prentice, he says:
“I am encouraged that the EU interim ruling released today allows for the continued import into the European Union of polar bear hides and trophies from Canada, with the exception of those from declining bear populations in Kane Basin and Baffin Bay in northeastern Nunavut.” Entire Article from Market Watch Here
Now, if we could get them to think twice about their seal hunting restrictions…
