Moose Camp Update: Day 2

The day started like it ended yesterday. We slept in. It was not entirely our fault. The wind and snow pelted our cabin early this morning and the warm glow of the firplace was too enticing. When I did get up, I managed enough motivation to gear up and scout the the road and a trail for some moose tracks.

Nothing appeared to be moving. I returned back to camp for my waiting cup of coffee. Go ahead and google bad weather moose and post some tips in the comment section below. It may motivate me to leave the warmth of the cabin and, possibly, make me look smart in front of the guys. I took some photos of the morning. More later (I know you are on the edge of you seats with anticipation…LOL).

That’s a tough one – my mom just shot a moose down here in Idaho recently, but no bad weather till after the moose was down. Last year, my dad had a moose tag, and they never saw any moose till the weather turned bad, then cleared – after a heavy snowfall, the clouds moved out and there was moose sign everywhere. Not that that means anything…just trying to relate!

Keep the fire stoked and us office bound folks informed!
