Serious Trouble For Ontario Anglers and Hunters?
I could not help but notice a quote from the new cabinet minister who just took over the Ministry of Natural Resources portfolio. This comes after a cabinet shuffle within the McGuinty government’s ranks. The quote comes from the Toronto Sun.
Donna Cansfield gets the Natural Resources portfolio, a curious choice considering she’s from Etobicoke, not a city known for its great outdoors. She isn’t a hunter and doesn’t like fishing because she doesn’t like putting the worms on a hook, she told the news conference. Entire Article Here

Let’s put someone in charge of Natural Resources who apparently does not know very much about the task she has been entrusted. That being said, it is not wise to judge someone that you know very little about.
So I won’t. She must be more than capable.
I would be happy to take the new Minister fishing or hunting in the coming years. My email is always available is she needs advice or encouragement. I will come down there and make any presentation she needs – if it will help what I have grown to love.



That is an interesting choice. Although as someone who doesn’t hunt yet myself, but is a strong supporter of the hunting agenda, I’d have to agree that you shouldn’t make snap judgments.
