I was walking to lunch with dad today and while walking we were discussing our upcoming fishing trip this June. Specifically, we talked about a condition known as “Fisherman’s Twitch”. This is an arm ailment that affects fisherman who troll for long periods of time with their arm extended outside of the boat aniticipating a strike. I am sure there are other ‘injuries’ that fisherman experience from fishing.
How about these ones:
Forearm Crampus – a condition that occurs in the forearm after landing a large fish on light tackle
Lower Lumbar Netting Disorder – a painful condition that occurs in the low back from netting a large fish behind the high walls of a non-fishing boat.
Intestinal De-stabilization – a condition with mixed symptons and side effects that affect the intestinal track. This condition is usually preceeded with a sudden run to the outhouse.
Spontaneous Rod De-Contruction – a rapid movement of the upper body, in concert with the angler’s arms, to quickly destroy their fishing rod because of a lost fish. Can sometimes lead to Forearm Crampus (see above).
Can you help me out with some more? Please comment them below. Imagination required!
