The Huntsville Forester reports that the township has passed a motion to allow Sunday hunting in the Lake of Bays area. Or more correctly, hunters can now use firearms to hunt on Sunday. Bowhunters have been able to hunt on Sunday for some time now.
You can bet there were some people against this motion (as with any issue that is debated). My favorite reason (that was against the idea of Sunday hunting) was this one,
… that during the hunting season people had a right to one day of peace where they could walk through the bush and not fear stray bullets.
I wonder what happens in the bush the other 49 weeks of the year when hunting is not allowed that makes the commenter feel they can not walk in the bush in peace?
