Can I Get That Carrot in IM6 Graphite?

CarrotI was wondering a home improvement store the other day and came across a bin of bamboo sticks that were in 7 ft lengths and of course I was thinking I could make a fishing rod – and they are on sale! Then, I thought that I can barely tie my own fly fishing flies yet so my inspiration was short lived. That was until I saw this article.

The people at icWales write an interesting article on biological portions of carrots being used as prototypes for new fishing rods. To tempt your curiousity,

…the “brand new miraculous material” started off as a carrot! – yes that red, orangey, root vegetable. Even better is the knowing that the carrots to be used are the ones rejected for human – and rabbit – consumption!” Entire Article Here

Guess what is going to be in my garden this spring. I wonder if duct tape is used to attach the carrot to bamboo?
