Fish Without a License

BobTheBobber Here is another great idea and initiative by the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters, and the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources:

“As announced today by Minister Ramsay, Canadian residents can fish license-free in any public waters across Ontario on Saturday, February 24, and Sunday, February 25. Events offering free instruction on ice fishing will be held in various locations throughout Ontario where ice conditions permit safe fishing opportunities.”

    I wonder if doing something like this would help promote hunting. Rip and Tear Hunt Club could provide a facinating introduction to someone interested in taking up hunting as a recreational pursuit. Sometimes dreams really do come true!!!

    Great idea! I wonder if anyone has ever tracked this sort of thing to determine if this has done anything to encourage new fishermen, etc.?
