‘That Group’ Strikes Again

nat_scene.jpg oPETAo (read bewtween the o’s) accused a church of animal cruelty in their nativity scene and the ‘Animal Rights’ group wanted it stopped. That was until they found out the animals were people in costumes. I assume the protest was called off.

There is no ‘talks’ of protesting the fact that humans were used in the scene. I guess humans are of little concern to this group.

MSNBC reports that,

The Rev. Jason Armstrong was confused by an e-mail this week from PETA, which admonished him for subjecting animals “to cruel treatment and danger,” by forcing them into roles in the church’s annual manger scene…

“We’ve never had live animals, so I just figured this was some spam thing,” Armstrong said. “It’s rough enough on us people standing out there in the cold. So we’re definitely not using animals.”
