Remember These Things?

100_0400.jpg A forgotten workhorse by today’s standards, but Honda’s Big Red 3-wheeled ATC is still used by the guys of Rip N’ Tear Hunt Camp.

100_0550.jpg It pulls logs, firewood and 3 other hunters with a bush buggy trailer. I know the rules say that their cycle is made for 1 rider only, but when you add an old sofa cushion it becomes a dual rider. I wonder if they make ‘spinners’ for these things? The amazing thing is that the only thing that has really gone wrong with it has been a dead battery or two. It still starts quickly-even in cold weather.

They quit making these ATCs because of numerous safety concerns…none of which have been a problem for a level headed-headed driver.

100_0402.jpg My question is: Does anyone else out there have a Big-Red and enjoy it as much as we do? (Comment below and send us a photo if you want.) The ‘little-uns’ that visit our camp enjoy the novelty of this vehicle and always ask their Uncle Bill for a ride.

That puts a Big Red Smile on my face.
