It was a slow start to our mid-week moose hunt. There were no moose sightings but plenty of moose signs. The wet and cold weather tempted us into a ‘bunk-watch’ mode that was hard to break out of.
When we did venture out to the wilds surrounding the camp. We never regretted it. Dad and I found plenty of bull moose rubs – indicative of busy rut session in late September. Unfortunately, neither of us were successfull in the bull or cow tag draws this year. Calf moose were our focus this week.
A new hunter joined us this fall for our moose hunt. It was great to have Jonathan out to help him experience his first hunt. I caught dad on camera numerous times sharing with Jonathan the tricks of the trade.
