Fish Cam: Yukon’s Fish Ladder

chinsalmon.jpg CBC reports about the world’s largest fish ladder that was built in Whitehorse. It allows King Salmon to bypass a major hydro dam on their way to their spawning grounds. A portion of the CBC article caught my attention about the fish cam that was installed into the ladder:

When the chinook salmon start arriving at the Whitehorse fish ladder on the Yukon River next month, their annual migration will be broadcast to audiences around the world on the Internet.

I could not get the cam to work on my mac but Windows users should have not trouble. The link to the fish cam is here. Visit the other information about the fish ladder at this site as well. There are some big fish using that ladder!
