VHS killed Lake Erie Fish
The National Post reports that Viral Hemorrhagic Septicemia killed a large number of freshwater drum in Lake Erie’s western basin and perch in the central basin. There was a positive kill-off in Lake Ontario with thousands of round gobys being killed in this great lake. There is apparently no danger for humans.

Will NEW Rules Wreck Fishing?
An article from OFAH caught my eye the other day. One line read: Enjoy fishing while you still understand the rules. There are planned change in the ’07 fishing regulations and many people including OFAH members (of which I am one) are questioning the effectiveness of the proposed changes.
