Twelve people have been charged and tickets totalling $1,500 were handed out following a weekend enforcement blitz on lake trout lakes in Haliburton and north Peterborough counties.

Aparrently:
Ministry of Natural Resources conservation officers and deputy conservation officers from Bancroft District blitzed several lakes on February 17, 18 and 19 targeting slot size and fishing line violations. One charge was laid for possessing a slot size lake trout and seven for fishing with extra lines.
Other violations included angling without a valid licence, being more than 60 metres from the hole, using set lines, failing to display numbers on an ice hut and angler fishing without their licence with them.
