My top 5 Tackle Picks for this spring!

tacklebox.JPG A recent warming trend that occured in our area today, triggered the spring fishing bug in me. I checked my tackle box to see how it was holding up and I noticed it would require some attention – specifically in the lure department.

When I visit my favorite tackle store, the following 5 items will be a priority:

rapdeep.jpg Rapala Deep Tail Dancer. I call the blue backed ones lake trout candy! Bass Pro Product Number: 38-248-554-53

rapshal.jpg Rapala Jointed Minnow. Known as Bass Bane in the lakes I fish on in our area. Blue or chartreuse colors work great! Bass Pro Product Number: 38-270-829-03

bkgulpminno.jpg Gulp Minnow by Berkley. Some lake trout and walleye have been know to ravage these ones. White bottom and black top seem to be the most successful for me. Bass Pro Shops Product Number: 38-249-081-04

syclops_saltwater.jpg Mepps Syclops. Awesome Pike lure! Big on flash and action. The boys of Triple L Fishing Club cringe when I tie it on. Silver seems to work the best for me.

fireline.jpg Berkley Fireline. Great sensitivity. Low stretch. You can almost feel the strike before it happens! Ok… in actual fact mabe not. Sometimes is just seems that way. Bass Pro Product Number: 38-473-290-08

Well there are some of my secrets! Ground breaking I’m sure.
